The museum has been remodeled and now features a main exhibition of Ido Heizaemon, a famous governor who saved his people from the Great Kyoho Famine by providing them with sweet potatoes. The giant illustration that depicts the 500-year history of the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine in a bird’s-eye view of the townscape is also a highlight.
