Yunotsu is famous as a port for silver shipment but is also known as a pottery town where earthenware for practical use, such as large pots called hando and mortars, was produced. Two climbing kilns still remain and the visitors can learn about the history of Yunotsu pottery through exhibitions of valuable objects and materials. Pottery workshops are also available for visitors.
